It turns out this Canadian Goose chose to nest in the middle of a Forster's Tern nesting site.
Whenever she leaves or returns she gets chased and other such unpleasantries
Shots are from last Friday afternoon and this afternoon (Monday).
I really enjoy the series Tim! Poor goose, she probably did not know any better when she chose the nesting sight. I hope she hasn't egged any yet ... Wonder what would happen if she did ...
That's a fun series and an amusing (albeit unfriendly) story, Tim. In my neck of the woods, I'm used to seeing Canada geese exhibit territorial behavior; that's probably because I don't get to see enough terns!
A great set Tim. That poor goose really looks harassed. I get enough grief if I paddle to close to terns, I can't imagine setting up a nest right in the middle of them!
Seems to me like a dumb goose Tim I can't imagine the chase scenes, the slow maneuvering goose against the little fight plane like terns. Great shots of the action, I'm thinking I could photograph those scenes all day Nice work my friend!
