I don't post often but I regularly check this forum for tips and ideas!
I spent a day at the BWBO, the Biggest Week in Birding, at Magee Marsh in Ohio photographing the migrating warblers. Thought I'd post a few for everyone. All were taken with the 5D3 and a 300 2.8 with 2x, f5.6 and iso 1250 or 1600.
Check the ID on the Black and White, Al. Looks like a Blackpoll to me! Great shots all around, and I'm really impressed at the sharpness of the 300 with 2X on it!
Super set of Warblers! Considering these nervous little guys eternally hopping around catching insects and never sitting still you have some incredible captures.
Wow you sure had the variety Al and they came to eye level for you! Super set buddy, your combo and your talent worked well on these difficult ones. You have few a bit too centered up perhaps but this is a fine Magee birding set!
I still have a stiff neck from my outing there All I saw were undersides
Good to see you post, don't wait so long til next time buddy
Great to see you around Al, I for one have missed your presence.
Wow, that place turns into a zoo this time of year!! What a superb collection of the little chatterboxes Really sweet job on them, this set had me smiling. Didn't know you had the 300
