p.1 #1 · For those who like junk...

Some images from Old Car City USA . Others posted on Photo Critique.

Short story - 35 acres of junk cars, 6 miles of trails, all the poison ivy and snakes you care to discover.

In part playing to HDR too,

Regards,

Bob

Love 'em, Bob.
Please dig in and give us more of this lovely junk.
What's the story of the car in the first two pics? That isn't any normal car.

Thanks Charlie,

More junk to follow (I think #3 needs a makeover, FWIW).

I was pressed for time and did not examine the front porch car other than to photograph. Looks like it was 'bobbed' at come point with seat over rear axle. I've included a crop of the hubcap - markings do not mean anything to me. And a screenshot of the passenger door - shall we say custom-fit to fender?

Regards,

Bob

Hi Bob, what a treat these shots are, wonderful processing and I reckon the third shot has a certain, " Lazloesque " feel about it, keep them coming.

Cheers Ray

Thanks Ray,

Fun set, and fun processing - so many ways to go straying from the norm.

Rework of #3 - I do admire Lazlo's technique and vision.

Glad you enjoy the images..

the front of #1,2 is certainly a model A Ford, but the wheels are later, maybe a 1935/36 ford. ( I owned both a 1929 Model A and a 1935 Ford coupe). A great place to visit and shoot and the images are excellent.
regards, tom

Thanks Tom & Ed,

Any further insight as to the modded Ford is helpful.

Glad you enjoy the images - I'd like to return and proceed in a more orderly and structured manner. Lots of possible treasures but some selectivity on my part would help

I LOVE junk, and these are really special. I originally saw the color version, but these in BW/Sepia tones are much more striking. Wish I lived closer to this area so I too could shoot "junk"

Douglas & Jo,

Thank you for your comments, happy you enjoy the images.

Jo - but in California, you have pristine junk, especially inland without the impact of acid-rain etc...a breath of air would puncture a hole in some of these

Regards,

Bob
