Douglas to me what this piece is about is hands and those repeating shapes and triangular composition using the three hands and the elbow of the mural and the two strong parallel lines. Actual hand, line to hand shadow, line to mural elbow, line up to mural hand and then line back to actual hand . To me those the most important parts of the image and the way its cropped is important to me and that statement. The shadows and hand on the arm in the graphic are all supporting elements. The entire figure would only confuse the issue and is the reason I shot it this way.
