I am heading to Botswana on a photo tour next week. My question to you is, "Do I take my 14mm f2.8 lens or leave it"? I will be taking my long lenses 200-400, 70-200 and the 24-120 for landscape possibilities and two bodies.
Your comments are welcome.

I've done a few tours there and did not use a lens that wide, but some people might. I'd be more inclined to bring the 16-35 VR if you need wider than 24mm on FX. Don't forget the teleconverters.
Africa can be rough on gear so I normally bring a spare body and lens. If you have room consider the 80-400 as a backup.
I was in Botswana few months ago. Took D800, D3, 200-400, 70-200 and 24-70. You can replace 24-70 with either 24-120 or 16-35. One of the reason to bring 14mm/2.8 is if you are interested in taking milky way shots at night. Night sky in Botswana is amazing.
