Brian - I use the 16-35. I know its overachiever cousin (the 14-24) is better. But it is no slouch. I do nothing but huge prints for my customer and the 16-35 is a very capable lens that I have no problems recommending. The only time it doesn't measure up is when compared to its cousin who costs twice as much.
Eventually I will get the 14-24...because I am persnickety.
Nice stuff. I sold my 14-24 AND KEPT MY 16-35. i MUST HAVE A GOOD COPY LIKE YOU AS MY 14-24 WAS A BIT BETTER BUT... I miss Portland but get up there some.I have been down south in Albany for some time and the small town is not bad, and we get up there 3 or 4 times a year. Miss Pro photo and the music and food.
Kevin - Why do you need Canon to do something else? I could have gotten these with my D300 as well....they just wouldn't have printed as big. I am sure your current gear is very capable.
