Found this nice video review of the two cameras for video quality. The Nikon looks very nice, especially in low light compared to the 7D but I still think the lack of aperture control will not work for me. What about when I move from indoors to outdoors while still recording? I can't compensate that much on the shutter and ISO alone, I need to modify the aperture too. Maybe with a variable ND filter I can get close. Hopefully Canon can match this quality with a 70D or something.
I'd get a t4i over the 7d for video work in any case if I were going to get a crop body for video. The video AF isn't great, but it is useful when you want some quick, casual video. It's easier and better (for me) than trying to manually AF without the use of any sort of rig.
