I see no "refresh" to battery in the MK2 Manual
How long dose it take to "refresh"

I'm assuming it discharges it then goes to charge

The information is NOT in the MK2 manual. You can find there is a leaflet for NC-MH Charger NC-E2 Instructions, which states that "a fully charged battery takes about 8.5 hours to discharge' & "Once the batter has completely discharged, it is automatically recharged."
