I have several Maxtek batteries which have been in daily use in my 5D3 for about a year.
With the firmware update to V1.2.1, each time I replace the battery with another, I get a message asking if I want to use this non-standard battery.
In use, if changing batteries in a time sensitive situation, this could be an issue.
Has anyone found a way to disable this warning each time a battery is replaced?

Why not just use real batteries instead of the fakes, and avoid the problem?
Though, if we willingly decide to use an aftermarket battery, are there any that do not show this error message and register in the camera? In other words, are there any aftermarket batteries that behave just as the original Canon batteries with the new firmware?

Why?....They are higher capacity and last a LOT longer. I have had great success with the Mastek batteries, and still do. My issue is with the message that has to be cleared each time I change batteries. Without clearing the message, my camera does not work.....a real PITA. Didn't have to do this with the previous firmware.
Is the message really a hassle? And how often do you turn your camera on and off?
I get virtually zero shots-per-charge when I turn the camera off between shooting vs setting auto-off to 4 minutes and basically always leaving the camera's switch to ON. For me (unchipped 3rd party 5d2), I don't get a warning message when the camera wakes up from auto off, say, when pressing the shutter half way. So at most I get the message once during the day, when I turn on the camera switch... where I leave it for the rest of the day.

Yes, the STK version cost $20 and work without confirmation. They also show amount of charge left, shots taken and recharge performance.

"This minor 3rd party battery limitation has already been addressed by one manufacture.
The STK battery has been reverse engineered so that the warning will not be seen with the 6D. Presumably this adaptation will also apply to the new 5DIII firmware. I purchased a few of these STK batteries, and indeed it seems to work as claimed with no warning. The battery info does show up in the 6D menu with these batteries.
I do not have enough history with actual use to say whether charge capacity of the STK are comparable to Canon."
I have the chipped STK battery and, while it works fine with the battery menu, the actual capacity is poor compared to my two OEM batteries. In the past I used the STK 511 batteries and they were better than OEM, so STK QC seems to be an issue.
I think I am done with third party batteries also, they appear to deteriorate pretty fast and after about a year, appear to offer half the capacity of OEM. The OEMs just keep going.
I received 2 of these batteries yesterday and they do not produce the warning message.

Besides from the annoying message, does the battery work as well as the Canon batteries? I would like to save some $ on batteries but am not sure how reliable non-Canon batteries are?
I have a couple of Bower batteries for my 5diii and they work fine - I just get the message that "the camera is not communicating with the battery - do you want to continue" when I just put them in. Not when I turn off and on. I bought them at fry's.
