p.1 #1 · 1Dx Focus point blinking??

I have my camera set to select the focus point with the joystick buttons. Only when the camera is in landscape position the focus point 3 clicks straight down from center constantly blinks if any other focus point is selected. Example: if the center point is selected it lights up and the focus point 3 down will be blinking. If I turn the camera to portrait the rogue blinking focus point goes away. I have tried one shot and servo- doesn't affect it. I've tried different lenses.

Am I missing something?? The camera works fine but it is annoying. I have firmware 1.2.1

Steven,

Sounds like you have registered that unwanted blinking point as your "Registered AF Point". You can un-register it by simultaneously pressing the AF point selection button and the +/- exposure compensation button (next to the ISO button).

That was it thanks. It's on page 342 of the manual. I have no idea how I accidently registered an AF Point. I didn't know about this function.
