I wanted to share a quick family/maternity session from this past weekend. Mom and dad are expecting their 4th (and final) baby. Mom had never had any maternity images taken of her, so we spent about 30 minutes banging out some family portraits and maternity images. Quite a few images here, but I am always open to crit!!

Very nice set of the family, particularly considering how difficult it is to wrangle three youngsters for shots like these.
First few seem a little on the cool (blue/cyan) side color balance wise.
I think that Dad's choice of shirt was was little less than ideal.
Thank you - yes you are right about the first couple of shots. They are a little bit flat and could be warmed up a bit. I'm not unhappy with them, but yes they could use a touch more warmth.
Beautiful family, gorgeous mom, great set. I'd agree about the shirt (tucked in, okay wit pattern). The only "miss" is the missed focus (motion blur) in #11. He was "truckin'."

Beautiful set, mom is very pretty and you really accentuated her graceful lines. My only nit, in 1 & 3, the little girls undies are showing.
Yes, you are right! Doh!
p.1 #12 · If three's a crowd, what does four make?
You've got some lovely shots here, especially the solo Mum shots 4, 5, 6
Agree that the colour in the first 3 is a bit dull / cool, though the poses are nicely arranged
I think the Dad's shirt pattern is too bold/distracting even in B&W, especially compared to the others who are all wearing more subdued patterns/solid colours. Not much you can do about that after the shoot starts though unless he brought other clothes - he's wearing a t-shirt underneath, perhaps he could have taken off the polo

Thanks - yea, I really left the clothing up to the family, I basically advised mom to have everyone wear similar tones, but gave her latitude otherwise. Mom is a photographer as well so I didn't want to overdo the coaching ahead of time.I agree that his shirt is a bit much compared to the others, but what can you do?
