These are awesome! I especially like the last one. I was wondering if you would talk about your technique you used for this shot, any focus stacking, etc. I am trying to refine my technique and your images never fail to amaze.

The last shot is focus stacked. It was a slightly chilly day with some cloud about. When the sun goes behind a cloud it tends to render small bees flightless. This mason bee was effectively stuck on the leaf and allowed me to hold the leaf with my left hand and rest the camera lens on that hand to stabilise the bee/ camera and allow me to frame the shot- this then makes it easier to take a quick set of shots for focus stacking. Taken at 4:1 FF F8,1/200th, ISO 200 Flash in ETTL camera in manual. Think I used 3 shots
Thanks Brian. So many good macro people seem to hold onto their techniques, so I appreciate you sharing. 4:1 seems to be a nice magnification. Shame I don't have the gear to get there.
