Hi Gang,

I am heading to New York city to do an engagement shoot for one of our Toronto couples in a couple of weeks.

Other than the usual shoot locations like Times Sq, Brooklin bridge, central park, what other neat places are there to shoot?

Also is it more convenient to leave our car parked in one location and move around in a cab?

I prefer to have access to our vehicle so that our couple can do outfit changes etc but how difficult is it to find parking?

Parking wise - it depends on the day of the week and where exactly yo endup taking them. If its a sunday keep your car - if its a weekday I would park and take subway - its usually faster then driving in manhattan anyway.

Personally I like Meatpacking district and Soho in Manhattan (central park always being a safe choice )
Dumbo, greenpoint and Williamsburg in Brooklyn.

Grand Central station and central library are also very cool locations and are only 3 blocks from each other.

It will be on a Mon - Tues so traffic will be bad..

Hmmm taking the subway will not be a bad idea.

If we are staying in Newark, whats the best place to leave our car and join the NY subway?

I use bestparking.com to find cheap parking (usually under $20) and take the subway or cabs from there.

I would go for the highline for a unique view of the city that hasn't been killed (yet). Lots of good photos on the web already, and its walking distance (about 15 minutes or so) from B&H.

The Highline would be nice! And really there's a lot of options right around there.
