p.1 #1 · Sleeping or Reclining Buddha - Nanzoin Temple, Kyushu, Japan
Here is an image of Sleeping or Reclining Buddha taken at the Nanzoin Temple, located in the town of Sasaguri, Kyushu, Japan. It is a composite of 5 images taken hand held and then stitched in PS6 and then cropped 4:1 ratio. It was taken late March, 2013.
There are some people standing near the feet of the image to give an idea of the scale. From what I read on the net, it is the largest bronze statue in the world at 41 meters (133 ft) in length and 11 meters (36 ft) in height.
I hope you enjoy it. Your comments and criticism are very welcome. Thank you for looking.

AMagi,
This is a fine image of a pretty spectacular interpretation of Buddha.
The Reclining Buddha I saw in Ayutaya, Thailand (many years ago) wasn't this big- and it had been neglected for many years when I was there.
This one here has obviously been cared for.

That's an awesome picture. I would love to see that one day. Not a sleeping Buddha, this is the classic reclining pose, which is supposed to be the Buddha just before death.
