Normally I cover events with two cameras, a 1D with an 85 and a 5D with a 35. This event was a little more laid back and low pressure so I decided to play around with a 50mm equivalent focal length and only brought the 1D with a 35 and a flash in case things got dark. Quickly remembered how much I hate using flash, and was surprised at how expertly the older body handled higher ISOs. Might even sell my 5D at this point after getting frustrated with the terrible metering system on it. Not entirely sure this is the right place for the photos but since there isn't really a forum for event photographers that don't cover weddings or sports I thought I would drop them here.
