Well, to be blunt it doesn't give me anything. It's OK, straight forward. And it seems like the eyes/eyelids have been over sharpened as the pixels are a bit weird. (I might be mistaken, but I do that sometimes myself, but more often than not decide that I can't use it)

I don't mean to be mean, just being honest.

Fair enough - I much prefer frankness to faint praise and platitudes. A 'sinker' without comments / feedback serves no purpose - my opinion.

In looking later from first posting, over-sharpened? Yes. Then looking at another time, yet later, not? Maybe my tired eyes at work. Or, not at work?

Thanks again for your candor.

Regards,

Bob

This a tough one. The face shows stress, fatigue, and / or wear (to be polite). But I find myself not caring how it got there. The eyebrows look blond but the hair is darker. As I normally do not do portraiture, for these very reasons, I am not sure how to improve, or if it needs improving. You might try a straight B/W conversion, or in my case, file it away for a rainy day project. Jim

Just saw Karen's post on light changing appearance. You might get some ideas here... http://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/1205680
