I shoot over 50 bull rides a year, so I'm interested in the subject matter. Spectators drive me nuts in the images & I've thrown away good action subjects because of spectator inclusion.

If I can't clone out spectators, I usually blur them out. If you are selling prints to the riders, I think they would prefer a blurred background as opposed to an art effect. JMO.

You're absolutely right about riders preferring blur.
But I liked your artistic painted effect very much, nice job
I have seen this photo effect in the Adobe set or at least one very similar. I believe this is a perfect way to use it. This is quite creative and I think brought about pleasing results.
