I've bought and sold quite a few items on eBay and various forums... so, when I see something like this listing on eBay, should I be worried?? The item is "new," really? Guys, help me out.
I don't know squat about Canon gear, but if it were Nikon from a reputable person, I'd bet it wouldn't be $2k Obviously you know the meaning of the phrase "too good to be true, then it is" I'd not touch it, but YMMV
I'm not touching it, but I'm surprised this is up on the eBay site. Curious if I was missing the obvious red flag other than the crazy low price. Appears to be in the US by a dealer with good ratings.

Screams of a scam, more than likely someone had their account hacked.
Yep. Whenever I see a "too good" item with a seller that has a bunch of feedback, I check their selling history.
In most cases - as in this case - they have sold nothing like this item ever before. In this case, the guy appears to sell a whole lot of glassware and miscellaneous knick-knacks, hardly the type to have a piece of brand new, top quality L glass.
