Here are two slight variations of a snowy egret
No flash.
I prefer some aspects of the slightly less pulled-in head of the first, but, as cropped, the second has better composition as well as better sharpness making it visually superior.

I could sharpen the eye more int the first and I do like the slightly fuller hair on the back, but cant have it all!
