Have a Fuji x100, when my card is download into my ipad with the retina display, after putting it back in the camera nothing works, no screen on the rear panel, I have to format it on my PC desktop, forgot to mention that I used the sd card adapter from apple.
Anyone us have this problem?
I'm only guessing, but I'd guess Apple is putting something in the root directory of the card that interferes with the camera recognizing the card. Formatting takes it back to a "generic" state the camera can deal with (I'd still re-format in the camera).
Strange , I've never had a card not recognised after I used the SD reader (genuine apple one) for my iPad .
As far as I can tell the iPad is writing nothing to the card when you use it in the reader. It only looks to the DCIM folder (images not in this folder are not seen) . But you could try the card with the switch turners to read only on the iPad .
