Here are two images being considered for the WA - Shallow DOF. The wife likes the flower, I like the card player. Please help by stating your preference, no preference, both suck, etc. Thank you, Jim
Card player doesn't get it for me. The pot draws my attention away from the hand, due to the the contrast of the lens/tablecloth and the menagerie of items involved make it seem unnaturally contrived. Maybe a different crop of it. I definitely prefer #1 vs. #2.

The second one is cute, and most photographers will get a chuckle out of it, or at least appreciate the setup. It looks very staged though. The hoodie hiding the head is odd, and the black filling the top of the frame is wasted space.
The flower is nicely shot, and that'd be what I'd enter if it was mine.
