p.1 #1 · Older version of eyefi app for ios

I have an eyefi card and I just got an old ipod touch that can only run ios 4.2.1.

I'm looking for a compatible older version of the eyefi ios app. I have all of the necessary tools to install the app from a .ipk file.

Eyefi support and the discussion forums over there are not useful.

I finally got a reply.

Eyefi won't send me an older version of the app because the only way to install it would be to have a jailbroken ipod.

So, If I had installed the older version legitimately when it was available, I would be ok. Since the old version of the app is no longer available, I'm SOL because my ipod can only run 4.2.1 which is no longer supported by the latest version.

This is a really bad way to treat a customer. It's easy for them to just email the file or make it available for download somewhere.

Be careful when buying Eyefi products. I am not happy with their support.

this is almost certainly a restriction based on Apple's policies for their app store, I wouldn't be so quick to blame Eye-Fi.

look into Shuttersnitch, same functionality with an Eye-Fi card, plus many more features.

That requires ios 4.3 or higher.
