I have been posting links to photos.
I have long noticed that they are displayed larger than they really are.
Why is this? Am I posting them incorrectly?
I manually type in "[ i m g ] http://blahblahblah [ / i m g ] "
Obviously, without the spaces and quotes.

If the URL to the image ends in ".jpg", you can post without the [ìmg] and [/ìmg] tags, using just "http://blahblahblah.jpg" (no quotes). Can you post an example in this thread that you see wrong-sized?

Your images are displaying at "correct" magnification to me (same as when downloaded and viewed). The one with [ímg] tags is left-justified; without is centered on the page. I suspect the issue is with your web browser: maybe you've accidentally bumped some keys to make it display web pages magnified? Have you checked whether other people's images aren't also magnified relative to normal "View Image" size? I have increased the text size, I guess it increases all sizing.
This was to make text easier to read.
I now feel stupid, though, better now.
