Tough call for me between Light -- Science and Magic and The Speedliter's Handbook.

I actually have four of the books on your list, but these two are my favorites (along with Understanding Exposure, which is not on your list).

In the end I voted for The Speedliter's Handbook for it's direct relevance to Canon Speedlites, which are what I use.

Eburge I got here in 1991 retired out of Holloman in 2002, now it's my base of operations since I still have a house here but for the past several years I've been living out of my RV and traveling when I feel up to it and can afford it.

Briano ill have to see if kindle has that one as I've tried to go digital for my books and mags.

I like "Science & Magic" best. It gets more into theory, which is what I need. That helps me to better apply light as I'm presented with different situations.

+1

Understanding why you are doing what you are doing is different from doing it just because someone told you do it this way or that way.

Granted, sometimes practical & pragmatic can be a quicker road to producing results than understanding theory involved, but once you "understand" light (or anything really) ... it can benefit you for a lifetime in a myriad of ways.
