i7, 128 SSD, 1000GB WD, Asus Motherboard, which I believe has no integrated graphics, but if it does I'm sure it was disabled in the Bios by the guy who built it.
i7 should have a built in GPU.
1. Try to enable it in BIOS and plug your monitor into motherboard's monitor connector.
2. Go to Intel and download/install Intel HD driver
3. Re-try CS6
This way you will know for sure if its your Radeon GPU.
You can try plugging your monitor to the motherboard video output then see if you get a picture on your monitor, if no picture then you're iGPU (integrated GPU) is probably disabled in BIOS.
Do you know which flavour (version) i7 processor you have ie. 3770K, 3770S, 2600, 2700, 920
Sure you can, dont forget to turn off your computer first
Its just simpler to see if your Intel iGPU is functioning correctly in CS6 without the need of removing your Radeon card, as long as you set your hardware acceleration in CS6 to Intel HD 4000 instead of Radeon or even disabling that option in CS6 for testing purposes.
Guys I want to thank you all very very much! Problem solved!! What I did was install the old driver that came with the PC (Sapphire CD) and everything is now fine!! It's working so I'll leave it alone for now, maybe try again in the future if they release a new driver. If that doesn't work I can always go back to the trusty CD Rom. I'm not a gamer so maybe I'll leave it be. Again I want to thank all of you that took the time to help.
From one Torontonian to another. Thanks for help Mr. Konstantin, I'll certainly keep that in mind for next time, but hopefully there isn't a next time...but with a PC you know there always is.
