Awesome set, Birdie. I really love the light on your cormorants. Love the detail and the yawning in #1 and big catch in #2. All 3 excellent shots.

Tam, thank you so very much !
Excellent set Birdie. Well done.
Much appreciated Ken.
Very nice catch with great light. I like all of them.
Jason.
Jason, thank you for looking in and commenting !
These are all very nice. I especially like the last one; it gives a sense that the bird is enjoying the last bit of warmth and light before sunset. You might consider opening up the blacks to give a bit more detail.
Greg
Thank you Greg. I will play with the blacks , thanks for the suggestion .
Very nice shots, Birdie. How did you go from macro to the long glass? I'm curious because I've started shooting with an old manual focus 400mm Nikkor strapped to my film cameras and I'm loving it. Can't really afford the high end AF stuff right now. Would love to be able to shoot an AF 400mm f2.8. Just for grins, ya know?
Kenny
Hi Kenny ! It's partially your doing. I remember your dragon fly shots done with a Sigma at 500mm Went to the 300 loved that length, but always wanted just a bit more . You understand I'm sure. Macro is seasonal and well most happy with a camera in my hand , so started looking up instead of my eyes always on the ground.
Wonderful job capturing the beautiful golden light on these Cormies Birdie.
Cool poses in 1 and 3, and they look great against those creamy smooth BG's... beautiful.
Excellent work on these Birdie.
