Ive been wanting to get a beauty dish for quite some time now, I just have been putting it off. Ive kinda got it narrowed down to the PCB dish and the Kacey dish. I am kinda leaning towards the Kacey one since I can use it both with my speedlights and my Einstein. Whata think?
Also, Im just wanting the 22" right now. I dont think im ready for the 45" one you can get form Kacey or for the price tag of a 33" Mola.
All other things being more or less equal in performance go with what is logistically simpler. That trumps cost differences over the long haul. So given what you want to do with it the Kasey sounds like the better option.
I have a AB 22" dish (early model) but never use it with my speed lights. Mostly I use it as my centered fill source. Bounces wrap around fill off the ceiling and walls with it's big footprint but creates a tiny, easy to remove fill catchlight in center of pupil when used just under the lens.
