Yes, I know of his Canon use so I was surprised to see him give Fuji a plug. He' s also a long time landscape guy too isnt he? The sensor in the Fuji camera has a known color smearing issue that pops up during foliage shots, another reason why I was surprised to hear of his interest in this camera.

Good gear is good gear no matter the brand, be it Fuji... ...Oly... ...or Ricoh.
I gave Fuji a follow up plug in this thread as I actually think it seems to be an excellent lens and a very fine contribution to the X-series.
Regarding the foliage/color smearing it is still a real problem and I think Fred is aware of that but perhaps he is looking for a small and "agile" camera that handles other stuff really well, like the X-series.
The 14mm definitely increased MY interest in the X-series. Still waiting on a RAW converter that does a proper job though. Or another type of sensor.
The XF18-55 seems fine though it would turn the camera into an X10/X20 on steroids.
