At the end of the season, we clean up the harvesters. One lane, two machines. They are Brussels sprout harvesters in Lompoc, CA.

Steve, very nice composition and colors.

PS: my daughter made Brussel sprouts last night and they were delicious!

Thank you for the compliment.

Re: sprout consumption... There is a least a 10 percent chance those sprouts came through one of those machines.

I love the color symmetry, but also the sky/ground symmetry. Nice image.

PS - I've never had a fully-formed Brussel, just the sprout. Are they any good?

Brussels sprouts are sold fully formed edible buds of a crucifer plant. It is a cultivar of the same specie that includes broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, kale, and collard greens.

It is NO way related to alfalfa sprouts or barley sprouts.

They are good. I am different. I like them raw and in salads. (sorry for the diversion, back to photo).

Steve, my daughter's recipe has them sautéed in butter with bacon. Probably not as healthy as au naturel in a salad, but they were pretty tasty.
