I'm one of the odd ones that has never owned this lens. I've thought about it, had it on my "list", but never actually gotten it. I've got the 24-70L, 28-135 IS and 28-300L. I love the 15-85 IS on the 60D. Go figure! Maybe someday I'll get the 24-105L.

I had it and sold it twice. It's a solid, but boring lens. Great range, but not wide enough, long enough or fast enough...for me. Basically it's great at making snapshots. YMMV.
I've seen some great landscape shots taken with this lens.

I don't really "need" the lens. I currently have the 35L, 501.4 sigma and the 85 1.4 sigma. Found a great deal locally for the 6d with or without the lens. Curious as to how much you use yours and your general feelings on the lens itself....
I use it a lot in the studio where I mostly shoot at f5.6-f11. Really good lens in that range. Distortions are a tad high but for general use its not a big issue. The IS helps whenever I am shooting handheld so thats a plus. Its a good lens to have.
The 24-105L and the 5D II (or 1D IV) is my bread and butter combo when it comes to reception shots. I just set the f-stop at around 5.6, ISO at around 600, and shutter speed at around 60th-80th of a second. I also manually set the flash at around 1/4 power (bounced) and manual wb at around 4700K depending on the mixture of available light and flash....and shoot all night!
My most used lens on FF (15-85 on the 7D). Both seem a bit mundane by comparison with fast primes, superteles and TSEs but they just fit the bill more of the time than anything else. I'm rarely disappointed with the IQ and IS is a boon.
