p.3 #1 · LR 4.3 is so slow!!!!

Tried another round of tweaking

Deleted preferences
New Catalog
i5 2500k quad core @ 4.8ghz!
16gb of ram @1600
Dual SSD (newer spec on 6gb/s sata port)

D800 files
Windows 7 64bit

Still slower than I would like
If this is any indication, I would need a ~7ghz cpu to get the performance I would like.

I will be installing windows 8 this weekend. Hopefully that will give me a bit of a speed bump.

Still slower than I would like with d3 files. LR3 with a 3.3ghz cpu blows away LR4 with a 4.8ghz cpu. I would say that for me I would need ~3x the computational power in LR4 to get LR3 performance.

I know the rendering algorithm is complex, but is it really worth the trade offs?
