Wow, the price's gone down really quickly. If it's at the same rate as 5D3, we could find one from authorized dealer for $1,650 or BigValueInc for $1,500 in less than 6 months.
I've been shooting with the 5Dc for several years. It's an amazing camera. However, it's a bit limited for the natural light event shooting that I most enjoy. When the 5D iii arrived, I added it to my wish list, but knew it would be a LONG wait until it reached a price that I could afford. On Wednesday, I pulled the trigger on the 6D + lens package from B&H. It will be a wonderful replacement for a well-loved camera.
$2,500 for the combo, less $700 net on a quick sale of the 24-105mm = ~$1,800 for a 6D body.
Hmmm.... might be time to go full frame! It would be great to have my 17-40 F4L really shoot at 17mm instead of 25mm equiv!
It's interesting that on Amazon:
6D body only, $2000. With 24-105 F4L, $2,500.
5DMKII body only, $1,800 With 24-105 F4L, but $2,700
This is killing me, I so want to pull the trigger, body or kit, but I can't even shoot yet due to health issues...cross fingers a new set of speshul pricing comes around in April

Same here, sell the 24-105 for the lower body price, I've a trusty 24-85 I'll give a go first on the 6D and then look at the new 24-70 f4L IS later in the year...
