Much appreciated, Socrate my friend! As I mentioned above, I've been "hanging out" with the local birder crowd, so it's nice to be able to document their rare sightings with photos that go beyond mere "docu-shots". And if I get a bit of a reputation in the bargain, well, all the nicer...

Thanks Tim -- yeah, I had to really work for that BHVI as we didn't know if he was a "One Day Wonder" or not. (Turn out not; he's been seen daily since, and may stay the winter). Yeah, I guess the herons are getting bored with all the attention -- "Just another guy with a Big Lens; we've been seeing more than our share of that lately"...

Thanks Conrad! Perhaps they're not as spectacular as your phenomenal pics, but the "spectacular" is in the rarity of the birds themselves, and if I can do a good pic for documention, well, then I'm a Happy Camper.
