You're right, and I didn't put that very well. It's an illusion of creating greater magnification in relation to the lens on all FF sensor via crop. But yes, with a 1:1 lens at MFD focused on a subject 36mm in length, only 23.6mm of the subject will be captured in the frame on an APS-C, which is still 1:1.
my chinese one is on the way, i'm expecting it next week. I bought the Nikon AI - NEX one days before the FD was available. If i like it, I'll probably get an FD one as well for more flexibility, and maybe sell the AI.

Me too. There isn't even a C/Y to Fuji X speed booster yet as far as I'm aware.
I just got the Lens Turbo today. 13th May ordered item.
I tried to set these lenses,
Ai AF Nikkor 18mm f2.8D,
Ai Nikkor 24mm f2.8S,
Ai Nikkor 50mm f1.4S,
Ai Micro Nikkor 55mm f2.8S,
Nikkor Auto-S.C. 55mm f1.2 ( Ai-S modified).
They are all OK to fit on Lens Turbo without conflict between lens mechanics and internal area ore lens of Lens Turbo.
I posted the comparison images with/without Lens Turbo of Ai Nikkor 50mm f1.4S.

Where did you get your Lens Turbo from? Seems to have arrived quick. There are loads of them on Ebay for sale now. To find just search focal reducer, order by newly listed and select worldwide. MD/FD mounts now available. Is there a way to adjust the Lens turbo versions for infinity like you can on the metabones version?

I ordered on MXcamera web site, not on eBay. The item has shipped from HongKong to Japan by trucking airmail, so it may be relatively quick. It looks same way to adjust the position of internal lens by screw as Metabones Speed booster. The adapter that I got has been adjusted infinity. It can be seen that the adjusted position has been marked by pen.
I found that Ai Nikkor 20mm/F2.8S also fit on Lens Turbo without a scratch.
So what's the verdict? Are u happy with the lens turbo vs. the metabones? Big price difference. I hardly think autofocus is a feature worth $400 considering how slow it is.
wow, those pictures are quite telling.
I've got one on the way that I plan on using with three Nikkors- 35/2, 50/1.4, and 85/2, all AIS. Hopefully the effect won't be as extreme as some of your shots with the 20mm.
The lens has a guard structure on rear lens unit, however it does not conflict Lens Turbo.
Slight barrel distortion can be seen, however this reducer adapter will be quite useful for macro photography.
USPS site is showing mine delivered. Ebay tracking is still showing the last update prior to that.... I'll find out in about 20 minutes- this is killing me.
