A very impressive set, Don. The first one is my fav but I like them all. The interaction with the birds is interesting. And all the pics are razor sharp.
Thanks for sharing.

Wonderful images, Don.
And good timing: not just for when you clicked the shutter to get these terrific story-telling shots, but your timing to be there when the elephant seals come ashore for battling, birthing and mating. That's a pretty narrow window of opportunity, methinks.

Thanks Charlie. That is one advantage of going early in the season. Later they are just laying on shore and sleeping and occasionally belching. Don

These are fun and interesting to see, Don. Looks like you were close maybe uncomfortably close?) to these huge critters. The action when the males go after each other must be pretty impressive.

I was actually well within the safety zone. These guys are quite slow on land. But you certainly do not want to get run over by one! Don

While I have never seen an elephant seal in person I have a very long and somewhat funny reason for liking these remarkable looking animals...one day I'll share the story...
What is lurking off shore to take advantage of the blubbery meals?
The skua looking for some protein and the gull being a bit of a vampire are fascinating shots!
This looks like it was a pretty special adventure Don...keep us posted

Thanks Eric. I hope to share some stories with you some day. All adventures are special! That becomes more and more true as we get older.!! Don
