p.3 #1 · non-IS 70-200 f/4L better than Tamron 70-300 VC?

I wouldn't buy an f/4 telephoto without IS. In the L's favor is faster AF, somewhat improved border quality, and a fixed aperture that's helpful for video. Between those, though, I'd take the Tamron.
