p.1 #1 · NYE Fireworks from around the world - FM'ers add your shots
I imagine a few FM'ers will be taking their cameras with them to their respective new year's eve fireworks celebrations, so I thought it would be a good idea to centralise a thread of those photos.
Here are some pictures of the fireworks from Sydney, Australia. C&C welcomed.

Thanks Lunareye.
This was my first attempt at shooting fireworks. I read a few online guides before I went out for the night.
As for post-processing, in Lightroom 4.3, setting the colors to "Tungsten" seemed to give the best look to the pictures - cooler rather than warmer. I also raised the saturation and lowered the luminance for the particular colours of the fireworks in each picture.

Thanks Sozypozy.
Two things I should have mentioned earlier:
Before I arrived at the venue, I did a bit of trigonometry to work out the angle of view necessary to be able to include both the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House in the one shot - as I was 1.8km east of the bridge and the width of shot I wanted was about 1.5km, a 50mm lens was the appropriate one to use. This enabled me to crop down the images a little from each side and to take the bottom and top off them so as to remove dead space.
Before the fireworks started, I pre-focused my shot on the harbour bridge (ie at infinity) and then switched the lens to manual focus for the rest of the time I was taking the fireworks photos. I had to be careful not to bump the focus ring - easier to avoid by using the cordless remote as I could leave the camera and tripod totally untouched.
