I just wonder if it won't also be the year of that... in a giant $7000 brick body only though .
(although a few more hopeful rumors point to something at least more like half way between 5D and 1 series size and not nasty full on 1 series brick; don't forget the D800 has high mp and top sensor performance in a small body for a, relatively, low price, I expect the new canon will have vastly better video though and a solid 6fps vs 4fps in FF mode (one would hope it would also have cropped modes to save file space when shooting distant wildlife instead of all the sRAW, mRAW nonsense), but a giant brick at 2.5x price of D800 might be a hard sell even if better, a minor brick and intermediate price might go over far better).
