Insane!

I personally needed to upgrade to the 5D3 for some paid work that required clean ISO 12,800 and such, but I won't be an early adopter in the future. The 5D3 can do the job for years for me, and I won't be rushing to upgrade for the next latest and greatest. Same with lenses, as they seem to drop in value so much anymore after a few months its stupid to preorder and all that... Mostly with Canon, not so much third party stuff.

Lesson learned! Thankfully the paid stuff off-set the extra I had to pay up front. Otherwise, I would be super bummed... But nothing you can do! Hobbies take your money, right?

I believe refurb sales is one of the biggest reasons the 5DII was so successful!!! Great strategy Canon!!!

Now if I could justify putting a 5DIII into my coral!!!

Me too. In the time it took for the price to drop I have made images that are worth more than the price difference.

I might hold off a while on the 7D MK2, or not, it all depends on what work is on.
