Went to take pictures at my girlfriend's little brother's Christmas concert the other night and I walked into the doors of the church and was blown away. The Church seats maybe 200 people at most and is a hidden gem around here. Quite the beautiful place. The icons in front of the altar are really something!

Under Exposure both back & foreground.
Set Nikon D7000 to manual, ISO 800 Aperture F8 and shutter to 2 to 3 second depending on ambient and on a tripod,
with handhold also manual mode. ISO 6400, Aperture F4, shutter about 1/60 of second.
Custom White Balance is highly recommend.

First things first-
I really like the shot.
Composition and perspective both look good.
With all the people in the pews, I think I'd like to see someone at or near the altar.
Yes, I agree that it's a little underexposed.
I'm going to do some quick editing and if it accomplishes what I want it to, I'll post it here- with the caveat that I'm in NO way an excellent technician with this stuff .

Okay- here's a few-minute edit- using very simple techniques..
Good or bad is up to the viewer.
All important decisions are made by the picture taker .
Mostly I added some brightness AND some contrast. (plus a couple other little things.)
I didn't like the woman on the right looking at you, so I told her to turn around .
