didnt even think about the resale of used d700's with the good deals for the d600. my condolences.

you're better off keeping it and using it. mine still amazes me every time i use it...

The used D700 market it going to take a hit too.

It's about time. I've seen used D600 bodies selling for ~$1700, someone trying to get $1600 for a D700 with 65k on it is dreaming. The D700 should be trading around the same as the Canon 5D2.

I just picked up a D600 body from Amazon last week and sent them an email today seeing if I could get the deal. Anyone have experience with Amazon on this type of thing? I am curious if they are willing to do it.

I don't think they do any retro price corrections. You're still within the return period though.

I actually think they do. Some places like Adorama or BH retro fix prices no problem. It saves them having to go through the return-reship process

I just received a call from Amazon and they can't do a price fix.
They also said I cannot return my body for full price since I have used the camera. Had I not, I could've done a normal return and then purchased the kit.

I think Amazon returns items even if you use them unless it's user damaged or shows wear. I have never returned a camera but I returned a lens before.
