What a fantastic looking park you have there Tim.
Its a bit bigger than my local
A real fine and enjoyable set where one can begin to appreciate the vastness of the park.
Very nice colors on the Redpoll, that one I have seen in Canada.
# 2 I have not yet seen, its a new one for me.
Nice to see you caught a rainbow. Did you make a wish?
# 4 is a classic Bison shot

Lovely set Tim. Super birdie shots. Mr. Mud is my pick of the bison.

Thank you Ken. Mr Mud was a hit with the rangers when I showed it to them to ask them about it

Was hoping for more from your trip bro and these sure don't dissapoint

on the 2 firsts especially the Townsend's

Lovey comp for 3 and throw in a freaking rainbow..............priceless

#4 is all business and you sure conveyed the mood here Tim

The muddy spike is way cool. Do they roll around in the mud for fun or for the bugs?

Beautiful country and another beautiful image of this wonderful place!

Watching the behavior in 7 and 8 was a thrill I'm betting and the DOF treatment for the last frame is stunning my friend

More YSNP goodness bro

Tom

I got more

Yes the Townsend's was most cooperative, shot at 300 on a full frame. He must have like me. The rainbow was cool, just had to wait a few minutes for it to drift into place 4 They can be intimidating. Not sure about the muddy guy, I asked the rangers but they weren't much help Yes indeed it is a beautiful place, we didn't want to leave and have been talking about going back ever since. Thanks Bro, I sure had fun taking them

Man these are spectacular Tim...now I really see what I have been missing all these years...what beautiful vistas and a rainbow to boot...you must be livin' right my friend.
I know they didn't totally go extinct but the last shot reminds me of the opening in Jurassic Park where they see the dinosaurs for the first time around the river...it would be pretty cool for me to witness bison this way.
Eric

Eric there are vistas there that blow this stuff away. Entering the Lamar Valley from the western side is absolutely stunning. You really need to go there sometime. I like the Jurassic Park comment, quite fitting.

Thanks so much for the generous words Eric!!

Tim, I really like the splash of color from the rainbow contrasting the less colorful winter range. Proof that keeping the camera close at hand pays good dividends.

The land/animal scopes are beauties Tim, nice take on a wide look of things
I happen to find #4 astounding in the range of the darker hues, well done sir!

Karl

Just thank you

If it's out there I'll find it Karl Ah yes 4 and the browns. I was going to post a similar shot with light browns to blacks just for the color range. Still may

Thanks Karl

Thanks so much Mark! Funny thing, I saw lots of birds but only took photos of a few, I was too taken with the big quadrupeds
