I purchased a Sigma DP2 Merrill earlier this month and saw they dropped the price $150 for Black Friday. I sent them an email checking to see if they price adjust or if I had to return and buy again to get the savings. They responded back to say they would refund the price difference. Don't think it is done automatically but they should take care of you if you contact them about the price drop.

I suspect the devaluation of the yen to the dollar is causing Canon (and others) to "adjust" their pricing for both new and refurbished to avoid losing sales to competitors. This slide is expected to continue a bit so your patience might be rewarded with further price compensation. No guarantees of course but you might watch the daily dollar to yen quotes to see this trend.
