Just came back from a 12 day trip to New Zealand, my 3rd go. Everything was great this time, weather was awesome and the light showed up each sunrise and sunset.
My first location: Lake Tekapo and it's Spring Lupin:
image 4: usually, I would trek in the dark, this time I opted to see the sunrise at the hooker glacier beneath mighty mount cook... and what a reward. this one also put on some waders but I could only manage waist deep as the freezing water temp was penetrating the waders into my thermals and jeans so I could not reach the glacier ice.
Wow Christian, these are great. Well worth a trip to NZ I imagine. #3 is my favourite. I am pretty sure I have a shot of that exact same cracked boulder. I have been down to Glenorchy quite a few times and never noticed the willows. Will have to take a look on next year's trip.
Absolutely gorgeous! We'll be there on only a cruise in March/April, but now I wish we'd be there longer. What fantastic scenery you captured perfectly!
Really great images Christian! That sunlight hitting the lupine is sublime and the whole image is amazing. I really love #4 also, heck I love them all, but those are my two faves. Nice work.
Lovely shots there. Being your third visit you must have had a list of specific shooting spots in mind? Or were you still exploring and looking for new spots also?
