Hey Fred,
What a cool view there. I have shot DV so many times, but I keep skipping Dante's View... I am guessing this next time I need to make time for it.

Same here Jim. I am still editing through some of the other shots I got while I was there...but in between unpacking and now being forced to hang Christmas lights...it may be a while before I post them!

Sharp photo, captured beautifully, you got some great detail there! Never seen that view so clear, or interesting, always so hazy and dull as I pass.

It was a very clear morning. The sky was clear but low clouds were forming in the distance. I have been to Dante's view during sunset in the past but after trying the early light, I highly recommend it.

I do like it, Fred... I do like it .
Like others, I've been there several times but have nothing this good to show for it.
Partly it's the clarity of the air- but mostly it's your timing, composition and extensive skills that ended with this.
My congratulations- this is excellent.

That is indeed a divine view, much more colorful than I remember it from a visit years ago. You were certainly captured it at the perfect time. Beautiful shot.
Spectacular view and very nicely captured. You caught the glow perfectly. I'm betting a large print would reveal even more because of the sharpness and detail.
BTW, the upper out crop of rock in the lower left looks just like a "thumbs up". Which this most definitely is.

This was my first sunrise there and the air conditions helped me with this shot. I was very lucky.
Thanks for your comment!

That is the beauty of this place. It never looks the same!

Thank you John. I will be printing this one when things calm down around here. I just saw the "thumbs up". Good catch!
A very cool shot. Fred, you worked hard (hike and getting up at 4:30 AM) to get this shot.
You forgot to mention that it was cold out there! Thanks dalite!
Another keeper!! Such a wonderful view Fred. Every time i see an image from this vantage point i kick myself for not making it there when i had the chance. One day I will get back here and make it happen though. Thanks for sharing.
