I also like the first shot! I feel that it might benefit from a bit of work on the contrast and foreground/background brightness, however. Much of the shot feels a bit dingy, and could use a little punch. Just IMO though.
I don't own mine anymore but after having compared it to various, much more expensive alternatives (14L II, 15ZE) I'm craving for it again. But here are a few old snaps:
Kiddik, I really like those shots. Makes me want to buy one.
dswiger, your shots are not bad, but are under-exposed or not contrasty enough for my taste, just my opinion.
I didn't really thought that this lens was any good, to be honest. That should be a lesson to myself to stop reading so much gear hate on the internet.
I have a thread over in the Nikon forum, but picked this lens up a few months ago. Here is the latest shot, taken last weekend. Heading out tonight for an extended trip..
it's been slow days, I tried Carsten's HDR process on page 102 of the leica thread on this single shot cropped (3:1 aspect ratio) to a pano. seems way over sharpened to me. end result is 104 degrees of horizontal angle of view and 40.5 degrees of vertical angle of view.

The Samyang 14mm is a great bargain lens. Regarding 14mm options, the only gear-hate I read is directed toward the Canon 14L II (which I own). I chose the 14L II over the Samyang and remain very pleased with my decision, but the Samyang is an excellent option and the price is unbeatable.
