I hardly know what anyone here is actually saying, since I kind of gave up printing on inkjet printers because of the cost of ink but what printers and inks is everyone using to do all of this "experimenting"? The printers and inks are "factors" too.

I have a Canon Coolscan 8800f printer that never gave me any problems using Canon ink and papers. I have not done anything on heavily textured paper nor canvas with it. I was mounting the smooth prints under glass. Maybe I should resurrect it with $100 worth of ink, as I have all the paper.
