It has been really hard to get out and shoot anything these days (girl 4, boy 10, wife first year HS teacher) but we did make it out to a cabin in Meeks Bay for the weekend. Not really happy with any of my shots, but I have to say, spending two hours "by myself" really made me remember why I love being out alone with my camera and how healthy it can be for me.
that place above emerald bay is magical. i remember getting up and leaving my girlfriends cabin at 4ish in the morning and thinking im crazy till i got out there and just experienced the magic of it all. its a thing to experience

Thanks rhee. Yes it a bay on Lake Tahoe that is known for a small island and green beautiful water. I will have to pick up an older super heavy tripod for windy days like this.
