p.1 #1 · EOS software install crashes on Mountain Lion?

Hi I am trying to install the latest set of software that came with the 1DX...utilites, DPP etc...and I am running a macbook pro retina and the install crashes...

Any suggestions would be appreciated by others that had this happen or were able to successfully install it?

p.1 #3 · EOS software install crashes on Mountain Lion?

I tried this using the cd in the cd drive as a reference (because that software link is upgrades that needs to see either an existing install or the cd) and it still crashes... Most times it reports an error like panic refcount....
