What's so frustrating is I'm shooting static objects, tripod, remote control, single point, etc. and getting such inconsistent results.

So why don't you get it replaced or adjusted? If you belive there is something wrong with it...

Great. This thread has generated a lot of interest. A near perfect 35 f1.4 is so useful on FF or crop.

Some quick selections from my trip last week... I have to edit all 2,000+ pictures, but plan to get them on Flickr park-by-park the next two weeks. Hoping to get one up today. This lens is simply stunning.

Note: Photobucket kills some of the quality... Once I start to get stuff on Flickr I will post some new stuff.
